Title: More Than Manipulatives with Mathigon

Course Description: This course will be more than just the basics of Mathigon, mostly focusing on the Power of Polypad.  We will be going deeper into this program than we ever have before, finding some mind-blowing techniques and tricks that can deepen your math instruction and student learning taking manipulatives to the next level.

What Tech Tool Will Be Utilized: Mathigon/Polypad
Instructional Strategy: We will do some playing, watching, and creating...and most importantly, blowing your mind with possibilities.
What You’ll Experience: Participants will play a few games that are created in Mathigon to begin and then we will dive into the deeper ways to use the program more than just dragging manipulatives around.  We will basically be bringing math to life in a new way that will build more concrete ways for students to learn and practice a wide variety of math concepts. 

What Challenge You Will Do: After learning about several possibilities, participants will get a chance to not only play around with what they’ve learned, but also work together to create games or activities for their students.
